Red card record holder sent off after 19 minutes as coach

Colombian footballer Gerardo Bedoya, who was sent off 46 times as a player, was dismissed 19 minutes into his coaching career.
Bedoya's 46 red cards in a 17-year career are a world record and his own website describes him as "considered one of the most aggressive players in the history of Colombian soccer as well as globally".
Earlier this week, Bedoya - who was capped 49 times by Colombia and is nicknamed 'the Beast' - was named assistant manager of Colombian club side Independiente Santa Fe, his first coaching role after retiring from playing.
Santa Fe beat Atletico Junior 3-2 but Bedoya was unable to enjoy the victory as he was sent to the stands after only 21 minutes of the match.
Bedoya's side went in front with a seventh-minute goal but Vladimir Hernandez equalised minutes later and the assistant coach was furious, with assistant referee Nicolas Rodriguez bearing the brunt of his rage.

The game restarted but Bedoya reportedly berated the referee and assistant referee for 10 more minutes until he was eventually given his marching orders.
Bedoya was given a 15-match ban in September 2012 when, while playing for Independiente Santa Fe, he elbowed Millonarios' Jhonny Ramirez and then kicked him in the head while he was on the ground.
