Oxford United sign Chelsea defender Todd Kane on loan

Oxford have signed Chelsea full-back Todd Kane on loan until the end of the season.
The versatile 24-year-old is primarily a right-sided defender, but can also play at left-back or in midfield.
Kane has plenty of league experience having been sent out on loan a number of times previously, with spells at Preston, Blackburn, Bristol City and Nottingham Forest.
His move to the City Ground was made possible due to the first Sky Bet transfer fund, when Forest fan Shaun Gardner won £250,000 on behalf of his club to be used on transfers.
Kane has also previously played in the Netherlands with NEC Nijmegen and Groningen.

The former England U19 international has also previously been called up for England U21 duty.
"At 24 he is that little bit older and more experienced after a few loan moves and has played over 100 senior games now," Oxford caretaker-manager Derek Fazackerley told the club's official website.
"He is quick, mobile and as you would expect from someone who has been at Chelsea he is really good technically."
