Gary Jones rescued a 2-2 draw for Rochdale in their League One clash against 10-man Colchester at Spotland.
The U's took a two-goal lead through Ian Henderson and Kayode Odeyai, but had Magnus Okuonghae sent off on the half-hour mark. Rochdale pulled one back through Marcus Holness before half-time but were unable to break down the visitors after the interval until Jones' leveller two minutes from time. The first goal arrived four minutes in when Nicky Adams brought down Odejayi 25 yards from goal and Henderson thumped a low free-kick into the bottom corner. Anthony Wordsworth then flicked Brian's Wilson's cross into the path of Odejayi and the striker poked home from six yards for number two. But in the 30th minute Okuonghae was dismissed for bringing down Jean Louis Akpa Akpro and Holness glanced home Adams' cross before the break. Rochdale looked like they were running our ideas as Colchester held firm in the second half until Jones' low drive on 88 minutes stretched their unbeaten run to four games.
