Spurs boss pleased after in-form striker nets another brace
Harry Redknapp hailed Roman Pavlyuchenko after the in-form striker netted another brace to fire Tottenham into the FA Cup quarter-finals.
The Russian striker scored in the 23rd and 87th minute, respectively, as Spurs beat Bolton 4-0, including two own goals, to secure their progression to face Fulham.
Redknapp rewarded the striker with his first Tottenham start since 27th October in the game after he hit a brace as a substitute in the Premier League win at Wigan on Sunday.
Afterwards the Spurs boss praised the striker, who was desperate to leave White Hart Lane in the winter transfer window.
Quality finisher
Redknapp said: "He took his goals well, he is a quality finisher and he has proven that again tonight.
"Last week he was excellent in training, he was the best player in everything we did, he looked like he wanted to play.
"Nobody wants to see him do well more than me; it makes my job a lot easier.
"He is a very nice lad, but he is laid back and some days he needs a rocket. He's playing like he's had a rocket."
Redknapp added: "He's in the team now, his confidence should be high and it is up to him to play well, he is bang in form and I wouldn't see myself leaving him out of the team at the weekend."
