Bradford have completed the signing of Garry Thompson following the winger's release from Scunthorpe.
Thompson, 31, Bradford manager Phil Parkinson's sixth summer signing, has put pen to paper on a one-year contract with the club having the option of an extra 12 months. Thompson told the club's official website: "When I met the manager I was won over by his ambitions for next season and his passion for what he wants to achieve here. "I know that people don't like to use the term 'sleeping giant' too often, but this place really is. This club should be higher than where it is situated now and I want to play my part in making that happen." Thompson began his career at Morecambe where he made over 300 appearances during his nine-year stay before moving to Scunthorpe in May 2008. He made 45 appearances for the Iron last season, scoring seven goals.
