Striker looking forward to new challenge
Juventus striker Amauri has revealed he will travel to Florence on Tuesday to put the finishing touches on his move to Fiorentina.
The Brazil-born Italy international has been looking to leave Juve for some time after falling out of favour with boss Antonio Conte.
Tottenham were among a host of clubs thought to be interested in the 31-year-old, but it has become apparent this month that Fiorentina were leading the chase for his signature.
He has not been able to finalise a deal yet due to family issues but is confident everything will be resolved before the transfer window closes.
Amauri is looking forward to getting his career back on track under Delio Rossi at Fiorentina, while he insists there was no truth in rumours suggesting he could join AC Milan.
No problems
He told Radio Blu: "I'll arrive in Florence tomorrow. I will have a medical and then I'll be available.
"I have not come yet because of family reasons. My wife is pregnant and had a little problem and the two clubs gave me time to put things right.
"But tomorrow I will be in Florence. There were no problems and there was no interest from AC Milan.
"Many former team-mates have spoken well about Delio Rossi, he's a hard worker and I want to work.
"I cannot wait to start."
