England boss focused on job in hand after contract sorted
Fabio Capello is fully focused as he aims to guide England to the World Cup final at the very least.
The Italian tactician has previously stated that he will regard it as a failure if England do not make it to the final showpiece this summer.
And - now that the speculation surrounding his future is at an end after he signed an amended contract with England - Capello has spoken of his focus on the task ahead.
He told
The Sun: "Together with my staff we will do everything we can to achieve our goal.
"The players are excited and determined to play their part.
"The fans of England are the best in the world and we will be doing all we can do reward their loyalty.
Very focused
"I understand the pressure, the confidence of the country in this team and I am very focused.
"We have the players together as a group and it is like a club environment."
Capello added that he will feel no divided loyalties should the Three Lions take on his native Italy in the tournament - in fact he is relishing such a battle.
"I have taken teams into important finals but, even with the likes of AC Milan and Real Madrid, we were representing just one city," said Capello.
"With a country, you carry the expectation of an entire nation.
"I hope to play Italy in the final or semi-final but my shirt at that moment will be an England shirt.
"I would not swap with the Italian coach Marcello Lippi. I prefer to be England coach."
