Republic of Ireland manager Martin O'Neill has named a provisional 39-man squad for the Euro 2016 play-off tie against Bosnia-Herzegovina next month.

O'Neill takes his team to the Stadion Bilino Pole in Zenica on Friday, November 13, with the return at the Aviva Stadium three days later. Both games will be shown live on Sky Sports 1 HD.

There is only one change from the provisional squad named by O'Neill for the games against Germany and Poland earlier this month. Reading midfielder Stephen Quinn, who made four appearances as the Republic finished third in Group D, recently underwent knee surgery and is out until the New Year.

The uncapped trio of Alan Judge, Eunan O'Kane and Adam Rooney are again included.

Speaking at the FAI's Dublin HQ on Wednesday, former Celtic and Aston Villa manager O'Neill - who will cut his travelling party down a week before the first leg - said his side will 'do all they can' to qualify for next summer's showpiece.

"After finishing third in a difficult qualifying group, we enter into the play-offs against a very good team in Bosnia & Herzegovina," he said. "Our fate is in our own hands and we will be doing all we can to qualify for the finals.

"We will play the second leg at the Aviva Stadium and that is a big plus for us because the Irish supporters were fantastic in our last game there against Germany and we know there will be a similar atmosphere for this play-off.

"I think they are strong and would admit themselves that they are coming good at the right time," he added.

"From a sluggish start they're absolutely flying. They did very well in the match away from home [against] Cyprus, it was difficult.

"Bosnia have come through that with flying colours. They're strong, they've got some really good players playing in big leagues."
