Ukraine v Wales preview: Ben Davies fit for trip to Kiev
Monday 28 March 2016 12:40, UK
Tottenham defender Ben Davies is fit to face Ukraine as Wales continue their preparations for Euro 2016 with a trip to Kiev.
The full-back suffered a head injury during Spurs' Europa League defeat to Borussia Dortmund earlier this month and missed Wales' 1-1 draw with Northern Ireland on Thursday.
However, Davies is set to return after Wales manager Chris Coleman confirmed the 22-year-old is part his plans for the game at the Olympic Stadium.
Wales' game against Ukraine is their last before Coleman names his 23-man squad for Euro 2016.
And the Welshman admitted he is close to knowing what squad he will take to France, but has not ruled out a surprise contender forcing their way into his plans.
"In the main, I kind of know, but football being football, it loves to spring a surprise and who's to say there won't be one with us providing everything is okay?" said Coleman.
"There could be an injury, God forbid, and somebody may be called in hence that's why, in these two friendlies we need to see what we've got."
Ukraine, who beat Slovenia in the play-offs to reach Euro 2016, will hand Wales a stern test as they build-up to this summer's tournamnet in France.
Mykhaylo Fomenko's side get their Euro 2016 campaign underway against Germany on June 12, before games against Northern Ireland (June 16) and Poland (June 21) in Group C.
Team news
Wales are still without Gareth Bale after he was left out of the squad following talks between the Welsh FA and Real Madrid.
Coleman is also without Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey, James Collins, Andy King and David Edwards through injury and illness.
Walsall's Tom Bradshaw could make his debut against Ukraine, but Andrew Crofts is back with Gillingham.
