John Stones says Harry Kane is "raring to go" and ready to continue his club form for England ahead of their World Cup Qualifiers against Slovenia and Lithuania.
Kane has 13 goals so far this season despite not scoring during August and Stones is hoping the 24-year-old's goalscoring form will help fire England to the World Cup in Russia.
The Manchester City defender admitted he was glad to be playing in the same side as Kane and spoke glowingly of his team-mate's mindset, saying he has the "hunger" to continue improving despite performing at the top level "for years".
"Harry (Kane) is in great form for his club and he's raring to go and bring it into international football," said Stones. "It's great to have him here at England.
"I know his game, I know how he plays and I know how hungry he is to keep improving.
"Harry has been doing it for years now and like I said - I think he's got that hunger that he will keep doing it.
When asked how to deal with Kane, Stones replied: "Keep a clean sheet (laughs) - I'm not too sure what date we (Man City) play Tottenham.
England head into the international break knowing they have to win both of their games in order to win Group F and secure qualification to the 2018 World Cup.
