Ajax bounced back from their Champions League loss in Barcelona by beating Go Ahead Eagles in the Dutch Eredivisie.

Having lost 3-1 in the Nou Camp on Tuesday, Ajax got back to winning ways by claiming victory by the same margin over domestic rivals.

Anwar El Ghazi put Ajax in front after 10 minutes, following up his midweek consolation goal against the Spanish giants.

And although Fernando Lewis levelled for Go Ahead Eagles in the 28th minute, a powerful second-half show gave the home side the points at the Amsterdam Arena.

Arkadiusz Milik restored Ajax's lead in the 56th minute, and Lasse Schone netted in the 75th minute to make sure.

Victory moved Ajax to a point adrift of leaders PSV Eindhoven, who were facing a trip to Utrecht on Sunday.

Mid-table Willem II were easy 3-1 winners at bottom side Heracles, with Stijn Wuytens' 21st-minute opener followed by goals from Samuel Armenteros in the 57th and 75th minutes, before Oussama Tannane scored in reply.

AZ Alkmaar came from two goals behind to draw 2-2 at home against FC Groningen, recovering from conceding to Michael De Leeuw and Danny Hoesen. AZ launched their fightback with a Tjaronn Chery own goal in the 59th minute, and levelled in the 83rd minute through Nemanja Gudelj.

Vitesse and NAC also shared four goals evenly, with Marko Vejinovic scoring twice for the team from Arnhem, including a penalty, and Adhane Tighadouini doing likewise for the Breda side.
