Agent dismisses Milan talk
Mark van Bommel's agent has played down reports linking the Bayern Munich midfielder with a move to AC Milan.
The Dutchman's future has been the subject of intense speculation over the past few weeks with his Bayern contract set to expire at the end of the season.
Milan are thought to be interested in acquiring his services, while Tottenham have also been linked with a January swoop.
Van Bommel's representative Mino Raiola admits he is heading to Italy over the next few days but maintains that it is not for talks over a possible switch.
Raiola has previously stated that he expects his client to remain at Bayern until the summer, but Van Bommel has indicated that he might be open to offers and the agent is not sure what will happen.
"It's true that this week I will be in Milan but to discuss other matters," Raiola told
calciomercato.it.
"I have had no contact with Milan. I have not yet spoken to Van Bommel either and it's too early to discuss an eventual contract renewal.
"These are matters we will discuss later on in the season."
