South Korean left-back Kim Jin-su has celebrated his birthday by joining Hoffenheim.
The 22-year-old moves to the Bundesliga from Japanese club Albirex Niigata and has signed a four-year deal with Markus Gisdol's side.
Kim would have been part of his country's World Cup campaign this summer had an ankle injury not ruled him out at the start of the month.
Hoffenheim director of football Alexander Rosen told the club's official website Kim's absence from Brazil was "unfortunate for the boy" but he is looking forward to him being "rested and aggressive" when the new season starts.
