Danish midfielder not in first-team plans at Wolfsburg
Wolfsburg midfielder Thomas Kahlenberg has suggested he is ready to quit the Bundesliga club in January.
The 27-year-old Denmark international has not featured in Steve McClaren's first-team plans this season at the Volkswagen-Arena and last term only made 12 league appearances for the club.
Kahlenberg has two seasons remaining on his current deal but admits he could leave during the winter transfer window.
He told Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung: "I am fully aware of my situation at the club. I am aware of the viewpoint of the club regarding my future, but I am not going to talk about it just yet.
"We have one match left before Christmas, then we are going to wait and see. I have two campaigns left on my deal.
"Though leaving is also a question of money. I might be leaving, if the offer is right."
Kahlenberg joined Wolfsburg from Auxerre for approximately £3m in the summer of 2009, having previously cut his teeth at Brondby.
