Robert Lewandowski scored both goals as Bayern Munich made it two wins from two with a 2-0 victory at Werder Bremen.
The hosts held on until the 72nd minute before the Poland international finally broke the deadlock with a deft finish from Kingsley Coman's driven cross.
The striker doubled Bayern's lead with a fine solo goal, picking up the ball 30 yards out from goal and beating two defenders before firing through the legs of keeper Jiri Pavlenka from the edge of the area.
Bayer Leverkusen picked up their first point of the season, despite being pegged back twice by Hoffenheim in a 2-2 draw at the BayArena.
Leverkusen went ahead through Wendell's spot-kick after Julian Brandt was felled in the penalty area by Ermin Bicakcic, the Brazilian rifling his effort in off the inside of the left-hand post.
Hoffenheim levelled two minutes after the restart when Sandro Wagner found Andrej Kramaric free in the area to slot home, but two minutes later Karim Bellarabi restored the home side's lead with a fine finish from a tight angle.
But Mark Uth earned Julian Nagelsmann's side a share of the spoils with 20 minutes remaining with an effort which struck the underside of the bar and bounced down over the line.
Sergio Cordova scored a late equaliser to earn Augsburg their first point of the season in a 2-2 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach.
The hosts took the lead in the first minute when Alfred Finnbogason's neat turn and finish found the bottom left corner, but Gladbach levelled six minutes later through Denis Zakaria's composed strike.
Oscar Wendt headed the visitors into the lead when he pounced on the rebound folllowing Patrick Herrmann's effort on the half-hour mark before Cordova converted Marcel Heller's cross with one minute remaining.

Daniel Didavi scored the only goal of the match in the 22nd minute when swept in Josuha Guilavogui's cross following a swift break.
Holger Badstuber grabbed the only goal of the game to earn Stuttgart all three points against Mainz.
The centre-back powered a header home from Dennis Aogo's corner in the 53rd minute to secure the points.
The margin of victory could have been even greater had striker Simon Terodde not missed an 80th-minute penalty.
