Defender 'a little unhappy' to be leaving Bordeaux
Lazio have completed the capture of defender Michael Ciani from Bordeaux, the Serie A club have confirmed.
According to the Biancocelesti's
official website, the 28-year-old France international will be presented at the club's training ground on Monday afternoon.
Ciani told the
Corriere dello Sport: "I'm happy to join Lazio because it's a big club.
"Nevertheless, I'm a little unhappy because I loved the squad we had at Bordeaux.
"There was a winning atmosphere there.
"I don't know much about Lazio but I've been (to Rome) on holiday and I liked it a lot."
Ciani joined Bordeaux on a four-year contract in 2009, making 91 appearances for Les Girondins, and played in Sunday night's goalless draw at Paris St Germain before jetting off to Rome.
