Cagliari defender reveals ambition
Cagliari defender Davide Astori has expressed his desire to go back to AC Milan in the summer.
The 23-year-old has spent the last two seasons with Cagliari but remains on a co-ownership deal between the clubs.
Speculation has suggested that the Rossoneri could be about to make Cagliari an offer to buy back their half and take Astori to the San Siro.
Astori admits he would relish the challenge of trying to make a name for himself at Milan, where he came through the youth ranks before being sent out.
"My dream is to return to Milan and impose myself there," he told Tuttosport.
"Who wouldn't like to play alongside champions like Thiago Silva and Alessandro Nesta?"
Astori also paid tribute to manager Massimiliano Allegri for helping him to improve as a player this season.
"I have developed plenty here with Cagliari thanks to a good coach like Allegri," he said.
