Veteran midfielder weighing up Zaragoza offer
Guti is considering an offer to return to Spanish football and play for Real Zaragoza after failing to find a club since leaving Besiktas.
The veteran Spain international midfielder stated that he wanted to try a new culture and lifestyle rather than play in the Primera Liga again when he left Turkey.
Now, though, Zaragoza have given Guti the opportunity to play at the highest level and he has admitted that it could be an option.
"It is true that Zaragoza have been in contact with me," the former Real Madrid star posted on his
Twitter account.
"At the moment though there is nothing more to say."
Preference
After spending 15 seasons in the Real Madrid first-team squad, Guti left in 2010 to play for Besiktas but he made only 23 appearances.
In November 2011 he reached a deal to leave the Ali Samy Yen Stadium and made it clear that his preference was to experience Asian football before hanging up his boots.
With no offers from the Far East on the table, the 36-year-old is weighing up whether to help Zaragoza with their bid to stay in the Spanish top flight.
