Viola not an option for Grav

Thomas Gravesen's agent has dismissed a link with Serie A side Fiorentina.

Thomas Gravesen's agent has dismissed suggestions that the Danish international could be interested in a move to Fiorentina.

The Real Madrid midfielder is widely expected to leave the Bernabeu before the start of the coming season with Celtic, Manchester City and Galatasaray all linked with an interest in the former Everton star.

Serie A side Fiorentina have become the latest club to be mentioned in the same breath as Gravesen, but Viola are currently heavily involved in the Italian match fixing scandal and could see their top flight status compromised.

As a result agent John Sivebaek has dismissed talk of his client moving to Stadio Artemio Franchi.

"It does not sound particularly interesting," Sivebaek told Ritzau.

"In case you look at which four clubs are involved in the big scandal in Italy, you notice that Fiorentina is one of them."

Real are still holding presidential elections, and Gravesen's future will only be resolved after a new supremo is installed at the nine-time European Cup winners.
