Jon Driscoll’s light look at the weekend's football in Spain, including some suspect refereeing decisions

It was another weekend of highs and lows in La Liga - with a couple of contentious calls for supporters to debate along the way.

Jon Driscoll takes a look at some of the standout moments from the 13th round of matches, including some rather suspect refereeing decisions.

Those who have seen it will still be wondering how Lionel Messi's 'goal' after half an hour of Barcelona's game at Valencia was missed given the ball went a full yard over the line.

It was by no means the only controversial call of the weekend though, with Malaga's Paul Baysse also denied a goal at Real Madrid - something which helped the hosts to a 3-2 win.

This week's edition also looks a comical assist for Atletico Madrid in their 5-0 victory at Levante and how Sevilla followed up their comeback against Liverpool by doing it all over again.
