Ligue 1 round-up: Paris Saint-Germain suffer first defeat against Strasbourg

Paris Saint-Germain surrendered their unbeaten Ligue 1 record when they slumped to a 2-1 defeat at Strasbourg on Saturday.

Goals from Nuno Da Costa and Stephane Bahoken did the damage at La Meinau, where over 25,000 spectators witnessed the title favourites falter against last season's Ligue 2 champions.

After 13 wins and two draws to start the league season for Unai Emery's pace-setters, they fell behind in the 13th minute when the unmarked Da Costa headed in.

Kylian Mbappe levelled before half-time but Bahoken raced through in the 65th minute to drill a fierce strike high past Alphonse Areola for the winner.

Strasbourg had been languishing fourth-bottom before kick-off, while PSG held a 10-point lead at the top of the table.

With Marseille not playing until Sunday, Monaco took full advantage to jump to second place in the table, trimming PSG's lead, as Radamel Falcao's second minute strike proved enough to see off Angers 1-0.

The hosts seized a 26th minute lead through Alassane Plea and although Nolan Roux quickly equalised for the visitors, second half goals from Mario Balotelli and Allan Saint-Maximin sealed Nice's third league win in five.

Lille maintained their momentum from their shock midweek win at Lyon as they edged fellow strugglers Toulouse, Nicolas Pepe scoring the only goal of the game for the hosts in the 63rd minute.

Rennes claimed their sixth league win out of seven with a 2-0 home triumph over Amiens, Wahbi Khazri's opener in the 72nd minute doubled by team-mate Benjamin Andre six minutes from time.

Jimmy Briand scored a 22nd minute winner as Guingamp won 1-0 at Troyes. Both sides were reduced to 10 men with Francois Bellugou sent off for the hosts in first half injury time and Guingamp's Ludovic Blas following just past the hour mark.
