PSG 4-1 Monaco: PSG win fourth straight French League Cup
Saturday 1 April 2017 22:55, UK
PSG chalked up a fourth successive Coupe de la Ligue title with a 4-1 victory in the final at the expense of their championship rivals Monaco in Lyon.
Unai Emery's men, currently second to Monaco in Ligue 1, have been unable to beat the leaders on two occasions in the league this season.
But they secured the silverware at Parc OL thanks to a first-half goal each from Julian Draxler and Angel Di Maria, and then two after the break from striker Edinson Cavani.
PSG went in front at each end of the first half, through Draxler in the fifth minute and then Di Maria in the 44th.
In between, just before the half-hour, Thomas Lemar levelled up.

Di Maria had already threatened in the opening seconds when his left-footed shot was blocked, and soon afterwards he was the provider for Draxler to make it 1-0 from inside the penalty area.
Kamil Gilk's header flew high and wide from a Monaco corner on 10 minutes, and Valere Germain did likewise in the 24th.
But Lemar made no mistake with his right-footed shot from distance, equalising after good work by Djibril Sidibe.
A Danijel Subasic save denied Cavani from close range, and then at the other end Kevin Trapp kept out Germain's left-footed effort.
But just as it seemed it would be all square at half-time, this time Draxler put in Di Maria to make it 2-1.
Joao Moutinho went close for Monaco again soon after the break but it was PSG who extended their lead when Marco Verratti set up Cavani, and he beat Subasic with a precise shot into the bottom left corner.
Benjamin Mendy narrowly missed the target for Monaco with a left-foot effort on the hour, and Edinson was just wide too almost immediately afterwards.
Substitutes Irvin Cardona and Nabil Dirar had a late chance each to reduce the arrears, but PSG remained in control - and Cavani scored again with a left-footed shot in the 90th minute.
