Ligue 1: Marseille and Bordeaux claim victories

Marseille re-established their four-point lead at the top of the Ligue 1 table following a 2-1 home victory over Lens, but it was a little too close for comfort.

Nicolas N'Koulou put the hosts in front after 10 minutes, but struggling Lens hit back through Baptiste Guillaume after 31 minutes.

Florian Thauvin scored Marseille's second on the hour mark, but any thoughts of seeing out the game comfortably were ended by a red card for Alaixys Romao with 13 minutes left. The 10 men held on, though, to move clear of second-placed Paris St Germain.

Bordeaux moved into fourth as they extended their season-long unbeaten run at the Stade Chaban-Delmas with a 2-1 win over Toulouse.

Second-half goals from Marc Planus and Diego Rolan proved enough for Willy Sagnol's to claim all three points meaning Les Girondins have now not lost at home since Lyon beat them 2-1 back in March.

Aleksandar Pesic's solitary strike proved nothing more than a consolation as Toulouse, who dropped down to 14th, failed to inspire in the rain and suffered a fifth defeat on the road this term.

Nantes were held to a 1-1 home draw by local rivals Rennes at a raucous Stade Beaujoire.

Rennes took a fourth-minute lead through Pedro Henrique's first goal of the season but Nantes were level within 17 minutes thanks to an own goal from former Canaris defender Sylvain Armand.
