Ligue 1: Abdoulay Diaby extends Lille deal after returning from loan with Mouscron

Mali international Abdoulay Diaby has signed a contract extension with Lille after returning from his loan spell at Belgian side Mouscron.

The Ligue 1 club announced striker Diaby, 23, who represented his country at the Africa Cup of Nations, will remain at the club until at least 2019.

A statement on Lille's official website said: "LOSC formalises the loan back and the contract extension of Abdoulay Diaby.

"The Mali international striker, who played for a season and a half at Royal Mouscron-Peruwelz (Belgian D1), reintegrates with the Lille squad. He also extended the term of his contract until 2019."

Diaby said after the move was confirmed: "After a great experience at MTR, today I come back to Lille with great determination and a desire to reach a new level."
