Dundee United kick-off the 2015/16 Scottish Premiership season at home to last season’s runners-up Aberdeen on August 1.

The first away day for United will be to Motherwell with that match followed by the first Tayside derby of the season, on 12 August.

There is good news for the fans at Christmas – they have a lie-in on Boxing Day with Motherwell the visitors to Tannadice. The New Year’s derby fixture will be Dens Park.

The run-in is tricky – four of the last five games are against teams which finished in the top six last season – Aberdeen, Dundee, St Johnstone and Inverness.
