Aberdeen to refund fans following Pittodtrie floodlights failure

Aberdeen have confirmed they will offer refunds to supporters after Tuesday's home game against Motherwell was abandoned due to a floodlights failure.
Referee Alan Muir halted proceedings when Pittodrie fell into darkness after only six minutes and gave up any hope of a restart following a similar problem just seconds after leading the teams back onto the pitch 20 minutes later.
In a statement Aberdeen chief executive Duncan Fraser said: "On behalf of the club I would like to thank all supporters, players, staff and officials for their patience last night.
"It was a very frustrating night for us all and we have now put in place a process which will allow supporters to gain a refund. Aberdeen supporters should contact our ticket office to sort that out whilst visiting fans should contact Motherwell FC directly."
With the re-arranged date yet to be confirmed, all supporters who paid for a match ticket can request a refund. The process for claiming a refund depending on your circumstances is outlined below:
Aberdeen supporters who purchased an individual ticket for this match can claim a refund by contacting the Pittodrie Ticket Office on 01224 63 1903.
Alternatively supporters can e-mail our Customer Services team via ticketoffice@afc.co.uk with their Client Reference number and transaction details. A member of our team will then get back to you.
All claims for a refund must be made by Friday 6th January.
Motherwell supporters who paid on the night can claim a refund by contacting Motherwell FC directly. Alternatively, away supporters will be able to gain entry to the re-arranged fixture if they retain the ticket stub from last night's match.
