Scottish champions Celtic have confirmed the signing of Costa Rica international Cristian Gamboa from West Bromwich Albion on a three-year deal.
The 26-year-old had been at The Hawthorns for the past two years after Albion signed him from Norwegian club Rosenborg in 2014.
And Gamboa was part of the Rosenborg side which played St Johnstone in the Europa League qualifiers a year before.
That move came about following several impressive performances at the 2014 World Cup, where Costa Rica reached the quarter finals.
Gamboa left his homeland five years ago and the right-back has also played with Fredrikstad in Norway and Danish club FC Copenhagen.
"Celtic are delighted to announce the signing of Cristian Gamboa from English Premier League side West Bromwich Albion on a three-year deal," a statement from the Scottish Premiership club read.
Gamboa becomes the fifth player to arrive at Celtic Park since Brendan Rodgers became manager in June.
Forwards Moussa Dembele and Scott Sinclair have arrived along with defender Kolo Toure and goalkeeper Dorus De Vries as the club strengthens for the forthcoming Champions League campaign.
