Celtic's Emilio Izaguirre was left needing stitches after a clash with team-mate Nadir Ciftci, Ronny Deila has revealed.
The Hoops manager said Ciftci reacted to an Izaguirre challenge as the squad trained ahead of Wednesday's League Cup tie at Hearts.
Both will be available at Tynecastle and, according to Deila, the matter is now closed.
"It happens all the time," he said. "We want intensity in training. It was a tackle and a reaction and he [Izaguirre] got hit in his ear. He had to go to get it stitched .
"I always say to my players that I want 100 per cent at training, and it's been fantastic lately. Sometimes it gets a little bit hot.
"Nadir was the player who reacted. We have sorted it inside and finished with it and we will move on."
Ciftci, a summer signing from Dundee United, missed the first six games of the season after being found guilty of biting another player during last season's Dundee derby.
