McCallum on target as Bulls register first league win in six attempts

A brace from Gavin McCallum guided Hereford to a 2-0 victory over Lincoln and a first league win in six games. John Trewick's side, who leapfrogged their opponents in the table with the win, opened the scoring after 29 minutes when McCallum rifled a close-range shot past Rob Burch in the Lincoln goal. The Imps struggled to create chances in the first half, with their best effort falling to full-back Paul Green who flashed his effort wide of the far post. Both sides created chances after the break with McCallum heading off target, while Scott Kerr was denied by Hereford goalkeeper Adam Bartlett. The Bulls sealed the victory after 55 minutes when winger Marc Pugh weaved his way past two defenders before laying the ball off to McCallum, who drove a shot into the far corner of the net. Chris Sutton's side tried to get themselves back into the game but Lenell John-Lewis headed against the crossbar as they were frustrated.
