Ainsworth pleased with defence

Gareth Ainsworth was pleased that Wycombe did not let the Edgar Davids issue affect their performance against Barnet.
John Oster probably had the best chance of the match in the second half but Wycombe keeper Nikki Bull was up to the task and Ainsworth admitted he had been impressed by his side's improved defence. He said: "We were solid defensively, I think we limited Barnet to only one shot and that was key out there because they knocked four past Northampton last week so we knew we had to be tight at the back. "If we can match the defence in attack against Oxford we should be fine. It's our second clean sheet in three matches - if you're nil against you're bound to get at least a point so we need to make a habit of that. "I was disappointed with the first half because I think we were back to where we were in my first game against Dagenham - a bit panicky. I got into them a bit at the break and they responded magnificently. "We knew there was a chance of the Edgar Davids factor because we saw it against Northampton but it was crucial we didn't let that affect our preparation for this game."
