Rochdale 0-0 Blackpool: Seasiders drop to second after stalemate

Blackpool remain unbeaten in League One but were held to a second successive draw against Rochdale at the Crown Oil Arena.
Having drawn 2-2 at Gillingham in midweek, Simon Grayson's men were denied the three points that would have taken them clear at the top of League One as the game finished goalless.
During a tight first half, the visitors went closest when Armand Gnanduillet met Jordan Thompson's corner and forced a spectacular save out of Dale goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.
Blackpool continued to look the more likely scorers after the interval with Sulley Kaikai leaving Rhys Norrington-Davies on the floor with a clever twist and turn but he was unable to beat Sanchez in the Dale goal.
A rising 25-yard effort from Callum Camps had Jak Alnwick leaping across his goalline but the shot flew inches above the crossbar.
The one time Sanchez was beaten was in time added on when he attempted to gather a cross from Ryan Hardie at his near post and the ball bounced across his goalline and struck the far post, before the Dale defence gratefully cleared their lines.
