Bristol Rovers 2-0 Luton: Gaffney brace sees Rovers home

Rory Gaffney scored twice for the second successive game as Bristol Rovers continued their impressive move into the Sky Bet League Two promotion race with a 2-0 home win over Luton.
A crowd of 9,131 at the Memorial Stadium saw the on-loan striker from Cambridge break the deadlock on the hour, following up to shoot home after Tom Lockyer's header was cleared off the line.
Gaffney made sure of the points 12 minutes later when running onto a Lee Brown pass. Goalkeeper Mark Tyler fumbled his first shot and the in-form forward made no mistake with the rebound.
Luton came closest to a goal after 57 minutes when Ryan Hall shot inches wide of the near post from Craig Mackail-Smith's pass.
Rovers had the ball in the net twice in the first half through Matt Taylor and Stuart Sinclair, but on both occasions the flag had already gone up for offside against a team-mate.
Tyler made the best save of the half, tipping over a Lee Mansell shot after 40 minutes following a good move involving Taylor and Gaffney.
