Bristol Rovers eased to a 3-0 Sky Bet League Two victory over Hartlepool at Victoria Park.
Matty Taylor, Billy Bodin and Jermaine Easter netted as the visitors grabbed the points in a game they dominated throughout.
Former Pools midfielder Darrell Clarke's men flew out of the blocks, with Bodin firing an early warning shot.
That set the tone for a dominant opening half, and it was no surprise when Rovers opened the scoring in the 32nd minute.
Taylor nodded into an empty net after Adam Bartlett produced a stunning double save to deny him and Easter.
Hartlepool were lucky to enter the break only 1-0 down, with Jake Gosling hitting the inside of the post after rounding Bartlett.
A second came in the 64th minute as Bodin bagged moments after Scott Fenwick spurned a golden chance to level.
Mark McChrystal hit a hopeful long ball forward and the striker, profiting on Andrew Boyce inexplicably failing to head clear, controlled and powered into the corner.
Another mistake gifted Rovers a third, Kudus Oyenuga selling Bartlett short with a dreadful back-pass before former Pools forward Easter applied the finish.
