Team news for Sunday's League Two clash between Newport County and Chesterfield at Rodney Parade (kick-off 1pm).
Newport have no fresh injury problems as they look to continue their rise up League Two when they host Chesterfield on Sunday. The Exiles have now played eight hours and 51 minute of football since they last conceded a goal and the 0-0 draw with Oxford on Tuesday night moved them to within two points off the play-off places. Tom Naylor is pushing for a recall having dropped to the bench to accommodate Lee Minshull against the U's while Adam Chapman looks set to keep his place after an eye-catching display against his former club. Manager Justin Edinburgh, who this week dismissed reports linking him with the vacant Portsmouth job, extended the loan stay of Cardiff defender Deji Oshilaja on Thursday. In-form Chesterfield have no new problems ahead of their trip to Newport on Sunday. Blues boss Paul Cook must decided whether to name an unchanged starting line-up for the fifth straight match or tweak his team following the frustrating goalless home draw against bottom-of-the-table Northampton on Tuesday night. Cook has plenty of options available to him with the likes of on-loan defender Callum McFadzean, midfielders Tendayi Darikwa, Sam Togwell and Jamie Devitt and forwards Marc Richards and Eoin Doyle all pushing for recalls. Gary McSheffrey has had a hip flexor problem recently but the forward is nearing a return to contention. However full-back Nathan Smith (ankle) and midfielder Sam Morsy (knee) remain out.
