Torquay midfielder Damon Lathrope hopes to make a swift return from an ankle injury in order to boost the club's promotion bid.
The 22-year-old suffered ligament damage in the 1-0 over Cheltenham, but believes it's not as bad as the similar injury that ruled him out of action for three months last season. "I don't think I'm going to be ready for Gillingham away this Saturday, but I'm hoping to be back for Crawley the following weekend," he told The Western Morning. "The good thing is that it's not as bad as the one I got last season. "I remember how my ankle felt when that happened, and I never want that again. "I knew straight away at Cheltenham that this wasn't as bad - all I want to do now is get fit again as soon as I can."
