Shrewsbury have been dealt a blow with the news midfielder Craig Disley's injury is worse than first thought.
The 29-year-old has already been out for a few weeks with the hip problem, during which time he has been undergoing rehabilitation. But after seeing a specialist he has been told that if a period of rest does not lead to any improvement then he will more than likely need an operation. Shrews boss Graham Turner told the club's official website: "Craig still has a problem and it looks like he may need to undergo surgery. "He has to rest for three weeks and if it hasn't settled down in that period then he will need to have hip surgery. "It will be a blow for us and for Craig if that is the case as he has been putting in some decent performances lately."
