Maxim Demin retakes full ownership of Bournemouth

Russian businessman Maxim Demin has retaken full ownership of AFC Bournemouth, following the acquisition of Peak6 Football Holding LLC’s shares.

The Demin family's discretionary trust is the Opalus Trust, which is the beneficiary of AFCB Enterprises Ltd, now owns 100% of the club.

Demin became co-owner of Bournemouth in 2011, when the club were in League One, before taking full ownership in 2013.

He sold 25 per cent of his stake to Peak6 in November 2015, but bought those shares back on Monday.

Peak6 Football Holdings LLC, an American investment firm based in Chicago, purchased shares from Demin in 2015 as part of an effort to fund squad investment and a potential stadium redevelopment.

An AFC Bournemouth statement read: "AFC Bournemouth Limited is now 100 per cent owned by AFCB Enterprises Ltd, following the acquisition of PEAK6 Football Holding LLC's 25 per cent shares.
