Northampton manager Aidy Boothroyd has expressed his delight after signing young striker Louis Moult on a one-year deal.
The 20-year-old striker has been training with the club for the past few weeks after being released by Stoke at the end of last season. With limited first-team opportunities at the Britannia, Moult has spent time on loan at Bradford, Mansfield and Accrington. Boothroyd told the club's official website: "This is a good chance for Louis and it's up to him now to take it. "He was a bit of a child star who has lost his way a little bit which can happen at big clubs. "He's done well in training and he's shown enough for us to give him a chance and invest in him. "He's a goalscorer, his touch is good and his movement is excellent."
