Nick Powell's stunning volley and a strike from Ashley Westwood earned Crewe a 2-0 home victory over leaders Swindon 2-0.
The Robins survived early scares from Byron Moore and Ajay Leitch-Smith after good build-up play from England Under-18 star Powell. Powell then smashed his volley in off the underside of bar from a Leitch-Smith cross in the 28th minute. Ashley Westwood doubled the lead in the 65th minute, taking Matt Tootle's cross down and volleying home from six yards to keep the Railwaymen's play-off hopes alive. Swindon began to look like a team who had won 12 out of 13 league games in the last 20 minutes, but they hit the bar twice through Simon Ferry and Paul Benson.
