Shaun Williams channeled his inner David Beckham by scoring from the halfway line in Millwall's EFL Cup second round defeat against Nottingham Forest.
With League One side Millwall trailing to Jamie Paterson 35th minute opener, Williams produced a moment of genius just four minutes after coming on as a substitute for Ben Thompson in the 73rd minute.
The midfielder picked up the ball in the centre circle and spotted Forest goalkeeper Stephen Henderson off his line, before producing a perfect Beckham-esque lob over the goalkeeper to level the scores.
It was a goal worthy of winning any game let alone securing a draw, but Williams' superb effort was not enough to keep the Lions in the League Cup.
Lars Veldwijk struck three minutes from time to secure victory for the visitors and book Philippe Montanier's side's place in the third round.
