Former Swansea forward Michu has joined Spanish fourth division side Langreo.

Michu had been training with the club since concluding a financial agreement to terminate his Swansea contract in November.

Langreo, a club based in northern Spain that are managed by Michu's brother, announced the completion of the deal on their Twitter account, and the former Swans forward will be available to play when the transfer window opens in January.

The 29-year-old scored 28 goals in 67 games for the Premier League club after joining from Rayo Vallecano in 2012 for £2m, but injuries tempered his progress at the Liberty Stadium.

Following his breakout 2012-13 campaign, he managed just two league goals the next season, and left on loan to Napoli in 2014 but made just three appearances in Serie A.
