David Dunn open to becoming full-time Oldham manager

David Dunn has told Sky Sports News HQ he would like the Oldham job full-time if the next few weeks go well.
Dunn was appointed interim player-manger of the League One club after a 5-1 home defeat to Peterborough signalled the end of Darren Kelly's reign.
The former England midfielder's immediate priority is Saturday's trip to Doncaster, where Oldham will go in search of a first win in seven games, but his ambition extends further.
Asked about the possibility of a permanent role he said: "It's certainly something I'd be wanting to do, but all managers are judged on results. If I get results and it's something I enjoy then it's a possibility.
"I don't want to get too much ahead of myself. I think it's important we go on Saturday and there's a reaction from all the players."
Dunn has already put the feelers out to "contacts I have in the game" about potential loan signings, and in the meantime he has no qualms about managing players who were dressing-room colleagues until very recently.
He said: "I suppose the lucky thing is I've only been at the club six or seven weeks as a player.
"Although you get a bit of a bond, I wouldn't say I've become too close with a lot of them. They're a good group, they want to work hard, and hopefully that can carry on on match days."
