Matt Harrold has had his loan spell at Cambridge cut short by parent club Crawley Town.
The 30-year-old striker joined the U's on loan in February and has made seven appearances for the League Two outfit. He scored one goal in the 2-1 defeat to Hartlepool. The Red Devils had a 24-hour recall clause put in the loan agreement and activated it on Friday. Crawley interim manager Dean Saunders told the club's official website: "We need as many bodies as we can for the last few games because we are still struggling with injuries." Saunders also confirmed that Harrold will be in the squad for the clash with Scunthorpe on Saturday. It will be a crucial match at Glanford Park, with both sides still looking to avoid relegation from League One.
