Mclean returns to Bradford

Bradford striker Aaron McLean has returned to his parent club following the end of his loan spell at Peterborough.

However, Posh boss Darren Ferguson is hopeful of bringing Mclean back to the ABAX Stadium before next week's transfer deadline on February 2. Former Peterborough striker Mclean, who scored 82 goals in four years with Posh before leaving for Hull in January 2010, returned to the club on a temporary basis in November from League One rivals Bradford. His loan expired following the 2-1 win at Notts County on Saturday but the 31-year-old could be loaned out to Posh once more in a part-exchange deal involving a player on the fringes of Ferguson's squad. "Aaron has gone back, but there is interest from Bradford in one of our players so there may still be a deal to be done that could see Aaron return," Ferguson told the Peterborough Telegraph. Mclean scored one goal - in a 2-1 win at Leyton Orient - in 10 appearances during his loan spell with Peterborough.
