League One round-up: Eoin Doyle treble saves Chesterfield

Eoin Doyle scored his second League One hat-trick in four days to earn Chesterfield a 3-3 draw at Preston.

Alan Browne, Joe Garner and Josh Brownhill were on target for the home side before Doyle struck back for the visitors, his last goal coming from a stoppage-time penalty.

There was also late spot-kick drama in Essex as Sheffield United pulled off an even more remarkable comeback at Colchester in recovering from 2-0 down going into the last 10 minutes to win 3-2.

Ben Davies struck for the second time from the penalty spot in the 88th minute after Ryan Flynn had also got on the scoresheet as the Blades continued to climb the table.

Pacesetters Bristol City moved four points clear at the summit after they eased to a 3-0 victory at Port Vale and Peterborough lost at Gillingham.

Aaron Wilbraham scored either side of an Aden Flint strike as the Robins remained unbeaten in the division and claimed a fourth straight win.

Peterborough went down 2-1 at Priestfield Stadium, with Cody McDonald enjoying a double for Gillingham, with his winner coming from the penalty spot late on.

MK Dons saw their good run of results come to an end as they lost 2-1 at home to Bradford, with Aaron McLean and Billy Clarke on target for the visitors.

Rochdale thrashed Walsall 4-0, with Matt Done, Ashley Eastham, Ian Henderson and an Andy Butler own-goal securing the points.

Elsewhere, Coventry had Reda Johnson sent off in a 2-1 loss at Scunthorpe and Swindon drew 2-2 with Oldham.

Zeli Ismail and Chris Dagnall both scored penalties as Notts County drew 1-1 with Leyton Orient, Yeovil and Crewe shared the spoils with the same scoreline, while there was a goalless stalemate between Doncaster and Crawley.
