Tranmere have confirmed that midfielder James Rowe has signed a new one-year contract with the club.
The midfielder joined Rovers last summer after impressing during a trial and has made 23 appearances in his first season at Prenton Park. "It was a big step for James to join our first team squad from non-league football last summer but he has adapted really well," assistant manager John McMahon told the club's official website. "He's energetic, has good feet and vision and has a fantastic attitude. He's technically very good and I think he will get better and better the more games he gets. "It's important the club has enthusiastic, talented young footballers and James is certainly one of those." Rowe added: "I'm really pleased to be staying at Tranmere. I've enjoyed my first season here and am desperate for the club to get the result it needs against Bradford and stay in League One."
