On-loan Barnet defender Andy Iro hopes to enjoy a double celebration this season with both the League Two side and Stevenage.
The 28-year-old former MLS player has helped the Bees climb out of the relegation zone after moving to Underhill on a temporary deal from Stevenage. Meanwhile, Boro remain on the verge of the League One play-offs after ending their three-game losing streak with victory at Crewe on Saturday. Iro is due back at Broadhall Way later this month and admits playing a part in helping them to promotion, and Barnet to survival, would cap a stunning return home after four years playing in America. "It would be great," he said. "If I can play a part in both it would not be a bad way to come back to professional football in England. "But that's all a long way away at the moment. Things don't really get going until well after the new year. "The main thing is that Barnet stay in touch with the teams around them. "Stevenage have been struggling a bit lately but their early-season form was very good and you don't become a bad team overnight."
