Taylor hoping striker can prove his fitness
Wycombe Wanderers boss Peter Taylor is giving Carl Cort every opportunity to earn a contract at the club.
Cort is currently on trial at Wycombe after being released by Norwich City and the striker has featured in the club's last three pre-season games.
He will be handed another chance to impress this weekend and Taylor admits he is willing to sign the 31-year-old if he proves his fitness.
Taylor said: "I'd like Carl to come to Eastbourne and Dover. I need to have another couple of looks as I think he's been playing a bit safely.
"He did some very good things in the first half of Wednesday's 4-0 win at Windsor. He made a couple of good runs and great one-touch passes. He's still very tidy as you'd expect from someone with a career at the top level.
"We've seen that he's still got a good touch and I know from the past that he's an excellent finisher - and now I'd love to see him finish.
"If Carl is fit he is capable and, if he's fit, he could easily be my favourite target without a doubt."
