Posh striker will replace Baker up front
Morecambe have agreed a deal to sign Peterborough United striker Rene Howe on a season-long loan.
Howe joined Peterborough from Kettering 12 months ago, but started only two games in League Two last term.
However, he impressed during a loan spell at Rochdale where he netted nine goals, including the winner against Morecambe at Spotland.
He has now accepted a move to Morecambe for the coming campaign and will help to fill the void created by Carl Baker's impending switch to Stockport.
Shrimps vice-chairman Graham Hodgson said: "We are delighted to have signed Rene Howe.
"He made a real mark at Rochdale last season and he has chosen us ahead of a number of other clubs, which is great news for us."
