Bristol Rovers made it three wins on the spin under caretaker manager Graham Coughlin as Alex Jakubiak's brace secured a 2-0 victory over Oxford.
On-loan forward Jakubiak struck in the 15th and 63rd minutes to bag his first league goals for the Pirates and bring them a sixth successive win at the Kassam Stadium.
Jakubiak , who had a short loan spell with Oxford in 2014, combined with another ex-U's loanee to give Rovers the lead.
Tareiq Holmes-Dennis crossed from the left and Jakubiak showed good feet to create space and fire low into the bottom right corner from 20 yards.
Rovers had the better of it until the home side came to life after 29 minutes when Gavin Whyte smashed a shot against the crossbar from just inside the area following Cameron Brannagan's cutback.
Brannagan forced Jack Bonham into a save with a 25-yard drive as the U's gathered momentum and Marcus Browne volleyed over from six yards, but Jakubiak settled the contest when he pounced on an error by Rob Dickie to race forward and slot past goalkeeper Simon Eastwood.
